Are we there yet?

I am not in a rush to get baby Lila out since it is far too early for that, but I am counting down the days. I have to say, we have one cute little girl. On our last doctor visit we got to see her on the screen again, and she just has the cutest nose and mouth (I know, I am biased). As much as I want to meet her, I feel like there is so much to get still and do. Every shopping trip we make includes some baby item as we are trying to get the things we need in little bits. As much as we have, I still feel like we need so much more-what if she comes and I don't have something she needs? This thought has crossed my mind so many times, but then I walk into her room and remind myself that we do have enough to survive a few days with her.

  1. when i was pregnant with Evy I bought a package or two of diapers and a box of wipes per month. It was quite handy- between the diapers i bought and the ones i received at my baby shower, I just barely bought my first box of diapers since Evy was born last week. She is now 8 months old. Both Evy and Jeremiah were in sizes 1 and 3 the longest. Don't even bother with newborn diapers. I LOVE target brand diapers and wipes! So much more affordable and they work great. Plus the diapers have cute polka dots on them.

  2. I recommend getting at least one pack of newborn diapers. Unlike Evy, Langdon was in those (and NB size clothing) for like a month. Better to have a pack onhand and not use it, than have to run to the store on your way home from the hospital.

And if she comes and you decide you need something, you'll probably look forward to a little errand to get you out of the house. :) I did anyway!
